ICELANDIC BUSINESS COMPANIES, INDIVIDUALS, AND INTERNATIONAL EXPATRIATE COMMUNITIES SHARE AND SUPPORT THE FILIPINOS IN ICELAND INITIATIVES FOR TYPHOON YOLANDA SURVIVORS

 

November 15, 2013 - A flea market-for-a-cause was organized led by Kærleiksverk, PPI Project Pearl (Maflor), with FIA volunteers on November 15 at 4th Floor Hotel in Reykjavik to raise funds for super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) survivors.

 

 

Icelandic Business Companies donated all-new product lines in their factories and stores. Individual and International Expatriate Communities donated both new and old possessions such as clothing, heels, shoes, bags, dolls, kids' toys, and sports equipment for the flea market.

 

FIA willingly extended support and enjoyed shopping for a cause. As seen photos below:

#BangonPilipinas  When thoughts arise, recognize them clearly as your teacher.

When there's respect and team spirit, amazing things happen, and anything can be achieved. 

 

My experience reminds me constantly that the Bayanihan Spirit of Filipinos exists wherever I go.

Here everyone has some love to offer. "Bayanihan" is the most beautiful Filipino word that exists when there is a dire need. 

Filipino Spirit is earthquake-proof. Every Filipino family is an anchor. Friends are ports in a storm.
