MISSION AFRICA: Since 2017

MAY WE ALWAYS BE KNOWN BY OUR LOVE

2020 COVID19 Initiatives

As a brosis football team, we intend to distribute the first set of Masks to our kids Beginning tomorrow.

The Masks that will be issued have a pocket-like structure where the kids will insert tissue paper or Saviet to filter. This is to ensure that the kids can easily change the filters once it's exposed.

The Mask will also cover the nose all the way to the chin. Hand washing is still key in supporting this initiative, and therefore we will still advise the kids to adhere to the guidelines put in place by the ministry of health.

Today 7th of May 2020, we supported 38 kids from the Brosis football team with a food pack. The package consists of 2 kg maize flour, 1kg beans, and 500g cooking fat. Brosis football team is a community team. A number of the kids come from low or no-income families, Thus making it difficult to cope during this time that we are faced with the pandemic.

Since most people cannot go to work and most of our parents are used to hand-to-mouth sources of employment, Food is becoming a challenge in different households.

As Brosis group, we are very grateful to all those who ensured that we put a smile on the kids' faces.

On issuing the food pack, we also emphasized more on the measures that have been put in place by the government to curb the pandemic—I.e, Regular handwashing, Social distance, and staying at home.

The kids were also MASKED and always encouraged to wear the mask in the right way.....

Lead by BrosisFC & Ken

Today we managed to MASK 28 kids. We also gave them paper napkins to be used together with the MASK.

Thanks to everyone who donated to help us support the kids. The initiative is still on....

From BROSIS GROUP

We appreciate your support, donations, and prayers. Your generous help has made an impact.

Distribution: Food packs and free masks.
Location: Lenana Area

The prayer is "to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and ask not for reward..." But we do get our reward. Their smiles, their eyes that twinkle with hope, the thank you's... that is so much reward.

We have lost count of how many times they say "thank you".

We want so much to shake hands, to give high fives, to fist bump, to put arms around them. But for now, an unforgiving disease demands we must keep our distance. Let us continue to be safe and caring to our children in the slum.

Over the weekend. We managed to MASK 42 more kids in the slums of Lenana. An initiative that Justine Okee, Kenya, spearheaded is where Covid19 Local transmission is becoming a concern. Your generous support will ensure we keep many kids safe regardless of their environment.

We really appreciate your efforts to ensure that our kids are well informed, and more so, by trying to take care of their safety.

Just as we have always done, we will still encourage one another to adhere to the measures put in place by our Government.

#Washyour hands with soap#Stay at home#Sanitize#Maintain social distance#seek medical assistance when you feel unwell...

As the government continues to encourage people to wear MASKS all the time. 17 more Free Masks distributed.

We are working hard to ensure that we MASK as many kids as possible. Thanks to all who have supported the initiative through donations. #MASK campaign
